How to compare things: spicier, cheapest, the most delicious noodles on the street.

Thai is lazy (in a good way)

No irregular forms. Just add a word.

English makes you memorise big / bigger / biggest, good / better / best. Thai doesn't. You stack a comparison word after the adjective and you're done.

Six patterns

Master these and you can compare anything.

More than · -er than

[adj] + กว่า + [other thing]

ร้านนี้อร่อยกว่าร้านนั้น

Most · -est

...thîi-sùt

[adj] + ที่สุด

Polite complaint

เผ็ดเกินไปนิดหน่อย

A little too spicy. (Combining 'too' + 'a little'.)
